2024 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series

Pokémon UNITE players around the world can compete to earn an invitation to the 2024 World Championships in Honolulu, Hawai’i! This third year of Pokémon UNITE competition promises to be action-packed, highlighting players and teams from all around the globe.

The Pokémon UNITE Championship Series features qualifying events every month beginning February 2024 in each Regional Zone. The Series will offer over $1,000,000 USD in prizes, including $500,000 USD at the World Championships itself.

Pokémon UNITE Competition Format

Players will form teams and compete 5-on-5 using Pokémon UNITE’s custom tournament lobby. Open qualifying events will be held each month with no entry cost from February to June 2024. Additionally, some invite-only events will run both online and in person. Players will be able to participate using the Nintendo Switch, iOS, or Android version of Pokémon UNITE.

Qualifying for the 2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships

The winner of each Regional Championship event—as well as teams who have earned enough Championship Points in tournaments throughout the season—will earn invitations to the Pokémon UNITE World Championships. Additionally, for the 2024 season, the Aeos Cup Champion will also earn an invitation.

2024 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series Events

North America (NA), Europe (EU), Latin America – North (LA-N), Latin America – South (LA-S), Brazil (BR), and Oceania (OC) will each host the following events separately. Each region will have its own registration, player pool, and rewards for each event. The exception to this is the Aeos Cup, which is now an international competition taking place at the Pokémon Europe International Championships (EUIC).

Monthly Events

Each month throughout the season, Pokémon UNITE teams can participate in open online tournaments. These tournaments will use a double-elimination format and will award cash prizes.

Regional Championships

In May, teams can earn a spot in the Regional Championships via the Open Qualifier. The Regional Championships will then determine which teams qualify for the 2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships via placement and Championship Points. The Regional Championships will begin with a round-robin format with teams split into four groups, then use a double-elimination format in the finals to determine the winner from the top-performing teams.

The North America Regional Finals will continue to take place at the North America International Championships (NAIC) this season. Additionally, there will be an open-bracket tournament featuring exciting prizes.

See the full Pokémon UNITE Championship Series rules for the complete Championship Point reward tables.

Aeos Cup

The Aeos Cup has been revamped for the 2024 Championship Series! It is now an international tournament conducted live at the Europe International Championships and features a $100,000 USD prize pool. The team that wins the Aeos Cup will earn an invitation to the World Championships.

The Aeos Cup at EUIC will feature an open bracket, where players from all UCS-eligible regional zones can compete for qualification into the group stage. The group stage will determine the Top 8 teams that move on to a double-elimination bracket that will determine the 2024 Aeos Cup Champion.

An online qualifier will be hosted in NA, EU, LA-N, LA-S, BR, and OC. The first-place team from each region’s qualifier will earn a travel award and direct advancement to the group stage of the Aeos Cup.

World Championships

The 2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships will take place in Honolulu, Hawai’i concurrent with other Pokémon World Championship events. Teams can earn an invite to the 2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships by winning a Regional Finals event, winning Aeos Cup at EUIC, winning the Final Stretch at NAIC, or by being a top Championship Point earner in their Regional Zone. Championship Point qualifications will be based on the cumulative Championship Points earned by all five players.

See below for a breakdown including each Regional Zone except for Regional Zones in Asia. Qualification for these Regional Zones will be announced later. Qualification for the Pokémon World Championships is subject to change at any time. Players should refer to the official rules for more information on qualification, including qualification priority.
